Dear Neighborhood Association, My name is Michael Bancewicz from the Church on the Hill, Boston. On Wednesday May 2nd From 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM our church will be hosting a Blood Drive, Plant Sale and Homeless Art Exhibit. We are calling the event "Spring Into Life". The Plant sale comes just in time for springing up our neighborhoods. I have just visited the greenhouse and the abundance of indoor and outdoor plants we will have available are maturing beautifully. On hand will be a great variety of perennials, annuals and accent plants. The proceed from the sale will go to two local organizations. Neighborhood Action, Inc., as well as common art. Both of whom serve our at risk Neighbors. The Art Exhibit will feature artwork of homeless and marginalized artisans in the Boston area. Most of the artwork will be available for purchase with the proceeds going 100% to the artist. Ecclesia Ministries (www.ecclesia-ministries.org) fosters a program for homeless artists called common art, providing a safe haven and art supplies with the gracious hospitality of the Emmanuel Church on Newbury St. from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM each Wednesday. The Blood Drive will help save lives. Together we can save lives! Walk-ins are welcome but folks are encouraged to schedule a time in advance at www.bloodpartners.org/churchonthehill or calling 1-800-448-3543. I would greatly appreciate your letting your neighbors and members know about these great events all on the same day. Any participation or suggestions are very welcome. Peace, Michael Bancewicz Community Initiatives Church on the Hill 140 Bowdoin Street Boston, MA 02108 617-523-4575 Church 617-304-2200 Mobile
